Then and Now
Life is full of moments in time. 2018 marks the beginning of a particular moment where three friends with three different skillsets had a vision. The vision was to create a space that didn’t exist for a community that was already blossoming. That community consisted of people from all walks of life….with a common interest.
None of us could have imagined that in a few months, that space and community was something that we all would desperately need in the midst of a very trying time for the world. One thing that couldn’t be taken from us.
It would seem that despite ups and downs, people coming and going, triumphs and failures, adversity and celebrations….overall we look back fondly at that moment in time.
Danger Company has always rolled with the punches. It's been a moto-coop, less than legal dive bar, punk rock venue and a beloved treehouse for a group of Knoxville's finest misfits. All wrapped around a lifestyle brand that our community could wear proudly. Because despite it being spearheaded by those three friends, it was BUILT by its community. That is something to be proud of….because we are better together.
As many of you know, I’ve moved great lengths both physically and spiritually in the past years and many may have thought Danger Company to be dead. That it died with me.
But It hasn’t….it's just taking a different shape, rolling with the punches like it always has. Travis and his good friend, Jeff, have been working hard to breath fire and life back into the old bitch and get her roaring once again.
It cannot be what it was, because that was a particular moment in time. What it aims to do though, is carry on its legacy of being a beacon of solidarity for our community of misfits and misbehaven.
Danger Company will once again continue its efforts to be a true lifestyle brand that pools its community together with the raddest merchandise collaborations from all walks of the left handed path.
I’m excited to see what the future holds for this next moment in time. Because….what’s dead can never die.
